About HrdyaSara
The story of HrdyaSara is deeply intertwined with the story of Sara, the daughter of our founder, Mrs. Jayashree S. Godwin. Sara’s life was marked by extraordinary challenges and boundless joy. Born with severe disabilities, her resilience and radiant smile were a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who met her. Despite her constant pain, she found happiness and taught us all the true meaning of strength, love, and compassion.
Sara’s passing in 2020 was a turning point. In her memory, Jayashree founded the HrdyaSara Foundation to extend the care and love she gave to Sara to other children and families facing similar struggles. Sara’s spirit lives on through our work, reminding us daily of the beauty in vulnerability and the power of unconditional love.
Our journey began with a singular focus on helping specially-abled children and their families, but as we grew, we came to a profound realization: we are all part of a larger, interconnected whole. Disability is no longer just confined to the visible and physical; it is a spectrum of challenges that can affect anyone, anywhere, at any time.
Recognizing this has led us to expand our mission, aiming to empower everyone to overcome their challenges and celebrate their unique abilities, contributing to the richness of our shared humanity.
