Vidyanjali Programme

The Vidyanjali programme is a school volunteer management program by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, run by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The program’s goals are to: improve the quality of school education; transform the education system; strengthen government and government-aided schools; and involve the community and private sector in schools. This initiative would connect schools with varied volunteers from the Indian Diaspora, namely, young professionals, retired teachers, retired government officials, retired professionals, NGOs, private sector and public sector companies, corporate institutions, and many others.
Hrdya Sara was bestowed with the prestigious SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training) award for our dedicated contribution towards providing support to MCD schools for out-of-school children in West Delhi.
On January 16, 2024, at the Islamic Centre, Lodhi Road, we were privileged to receive this esteemed accolade from distinguished personalities in the education sector. The applause from Mr. Ashok Kumar, Secretary (MoE), Mr. MP Singh, Dy Secretary MoE, Dr. Rita Sharma, Director, SCERT, and other esteemed dignitaries was truly overwhelming.
The journey from nomination to being chosen among thousands of organisations by a panel of experts was a testament to our team’s relentless efforts and commitment. It is a moment of immense pride to see Hrdya Sara standing out for its impactful work in the realm of education.
